Curb Appeal
Begin with the exterior of your home, better known as your curb appeal. Inspect the exterior of your home from a quick glance from the street. What jumps out at you? What would've-been-eye-catching characteristics seem hidden?
Understanding this helps us to choose what actions we can take to entice buyers from the street and into your home. If your home isn't the best it can look on the outside with retouched paint and blooming greenery we'll need to tackle those issues. Refer to the Curb Appeal Checklist and add dollars to your home's final selling price.

Welcome Home
Does your place seem to say, "Hello From Your New Place" to a buyer? Looking through your home from a buyer's perspective, I'll advise you of adjustments that enhance Open House appeal.
I'll tell you take away anything that gives the impression of clutter. Table and counter tops should be clutter-free. Arts and crafts, souvenirs, family photos, and refrigerator artwork should get moved out of sight. We need to "neutralize" the house so buyers can envision it as their new home.
I'll review each room of your home. I'll note the pieces of furniture that should be rearranged, rooms that need new paint, carpet needing to get changed, fixtures that need shining, and any other improvement that can inexpensively be made to positively impact the sale.
We'll make sure your house is appealing and that it's inviting, staying away from "loud" or "personalized" shades on the walls and furniture. And if the house is empty, you can consider temporary furniture. You want your house to look ready to live in as opposed to vacated.

Setting the Stage
I'll tell you when your home is ready to show your house, because everything comes together to paint a picture of what buyers can look forward to after they close on your house. Lighting is important and we'll open curtains, and add lighting where needed to welcome the buyer. We'll enhance the ambiance with enjoyable music playing lightly and ensure a pleasing scent flows from every area. We'll incorporate cozy-looking throws, and throw pillows on your chairs and bedding. We want buyers to feel like your current place has the potential to be. |
